Appendix C - Participant Information Sheet

Everything the participants need for the 3 days is carried on their backs using the supplied backpacks. It is therefore recommended that participants bring as little as possible as space in their backpacks is limited (and after a few hours of walking unnecessary weight will be unwanted!)

Participants need to bring the following.
  • Suitable clothing (2 changes of clothes - 1 set of clothes for walking in and 1 set of warmer clothes for evenings)
  • Shoes (well worn in, do not buy new leather shoes)
  • Toiletries
  • Bowel & cup
  • Fork & spoon
  • Hat
  • Swimming togs
  • Light footwear for campsite at night and creek crossings
  • Torch
  • Cut lunch for the first day
  • Snacks – no excess packaging and wrappers
Banned Items

Cigarettes, pen knives, sheath knives, drugs and alcohol. If any of these items are found during the Trek, they will be confiscated and appropriate authorities will be notified.
